The Memorable Venus Transit on 6.6.2012

Venus making its very rare transit across the Sun on June 6, 2012 . As for Malaysian time, it made the transit from 6.09am till 12.49pm .
I was indeed very prepared for this event . How to miss such a very rare transit and furthermore to know the fact that I won't be there to view it again for the next one in Year 2117 .
But there is no word to show here on my frustration on the transit day . It was started raining since early morning and never stop until 10am . Even then it was on and off raining until it completely stop raining after 1pm . What a timing to stop . Sigh !
Though , the weather looked stopping my attempt on viewing the Venus Transit, but I was not certainly given up yet . I have decided in the very early morning at about 6.30am, to drive away from the bad weather with my 8" scope . Pavithra, my wife's little sister, accomponied me too .
We had to go far from the rain until we reach Kepala Batas and had the first memorable glimpse of Venus as black dot on the Sun . It was very clear to view even thru a Solar glass.
We stopped again by the rain and were forced to pack the scope and left to Seberang Jaya, where my friend , Hema with her famliy waiting for us to view the transit thru the scope . I was glad I could give the chance for them to view the Venus Transit with much closer view thru the 8" scope . I am very sure they won't forget that moment .
I was there at Safira Futsal car parking area, Seberang Jaya, where I had good chance, in fact very limited, to snap picture of the transit . Before I even decided to go further to record a video the rain started again . It never stop chasing me out . But I am still glad, though not fully, to have a good shot of the transit .
Then I was told the weather in Kulim gets better . It was about 11am, and before the transit ends at 12.49pm I packed the scope again and rushed to Kulim . It was still good weather until I finished setup my scope . Then again the rain forced me to stop everything . I waited and waited at least to see the last few moments of the transit . But it was all over when the rain completely stopped .
It sounds a kind of odyssey . Well it was !!!
