Total Lunar Eclipse December 2011

Lunar eclipse is a yearly event. We are fortunate to get clear sky for couple of hours on the night as it was totaly cloudy day. Jivagaran and I went to Malau, about 30km from Kulim Hi-Tech Park. Also joined are Sakthi , Pavithra and Thayalan.

10.38pm, almost a complete eclipse

                         

                 10:54PM . Few minutes after total lunar eclipse . Sun’s photons started reaches the moon.

                           11:44PM . First attempt to take night shots on sky directly from my Canon 550D. Took few minutes after Total Lunar Eclipse . The brightness as though it was a day time. The little shiny dots are the stars .Spot the Pleiades (the Seven Sisters) there. Yeah , that is my scope :)

11:52PM . Another shot directly from my Canon 550D . Clouds quickly moved in . The moon’s brightness reaching its highest . Yes , that’s me near the scope . :)

                    

It was a succesful night. The more wonders we saw that night.
